Meeting Schedule: The Planning Board meets regularly on the first and third Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the Conference Room at 6 Collins Street.  Meeting dates, times and locations are subject to change with notice.

The Planning Board of Ashland was established by warrant article at the Annual Town Meeting of March 1950. It consists of five appointed regular members and up to three alternate members. The Planning Board’s duties include:

SITE PLAN REVIEW PROCESS

The Site Plan Review Regulations provide a thorough public review and analysis in the development of non-residential use projects and multi-family dwelling units (3 or more).

All new businesses (owner and/or tenant), Home Occupations, or any “change of use” (as defined in Site Plan Review Regulations) are required to go through this process.

SUBDIVISION PROCESS

The Subdivision process covers the procedures by which single existing lots get divided into multiple lots; multiple existing lots get joined together; or multiple existing lots get joined together and then divided into multiple new lots.

LOT LINE ADJUSTMENTS

This process covers adjustments to the boundary between adjoining properties where no new lots are created.
